Long Time, No Blog

Here's the post where I explain why I've not posted in a long time....doesn't every blog have those?  Sometimes?  Maybe?

Anyway, my reason is this:  we're moving!  (insert happy dance here)  It's a long story, but in a nutshell it is an answer to prayer.  God decided, and so we're going.  I'm actually much more excited than I expected to be at this point.  The shock has worn off, and now I'm looking forward to the positives.

One of the first things I packed are my craft supplies.  Not vital items, you know, so now would be a good time to get them packed away and ready to go.  I'm shocked, though, at how much I miss my paper and stamps and inks.  (insert sad face here)  I keep catching myself thinking, "I'll go try such-and-such out tonight when I get a minute," and then it hits me that I don't have anything available to try it on or with, and I have that little sad, sinking feeling.  I don't know when I'll be able to get to crafting again, or what space I'll have to use, and that makes me feel pretty bummed.

I am thankful, though, for the opportunity to move.  Extremely, overwhelmingly thankful.  I intend to make the most of the opportunity.  I can't wait to see what God has in store.  On a much more temporal note, it will be lots of fun to set up the crafty corner in our new house!
