A Very Special Birthday

Some things are just hard to wrap your mind around.  The fact that I now have a 20-year-old is my mind-bender right now.

It's the "I'm NOT a teenager!" spoken with just that right amount of sass.  Seems like just yesterday that the phrase was, "Well, NOW I'm a teenager!" (same sass).

It's the maturity being shown, not spoken.

It's the beautiful comprehending of life, bit by bit.  The weight of responsibility being accepted more and more.

So that's why this was such a special card to make.  And to give.

I couldn't resist making a shaker.  My first few were pretty awkward, but I'm getting better at thinking through the process and getting the assembly steps in the right order.  (Except for yesterday, when I almost forgot to put the clear window part in completely on a shaker I was working on.  Wow, that would have been a hot mess.  :)

I had to include her favorite blue, some glitter, and shiny sequins.  Can't go wrong with that combo for this birthday girl.
