CAS(E) this Sketch #23 Challenge!

I'm entering my first card challenge!  I have so enjoyed seeing the cards from past CTS challenges.  This style is a real departure from what I usually make, so it was a lot of fun to put this together...and actually much faster than I expected.  Here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
I used the Little Tangles background stamp from Neat and Tangled http://www.neatandtangled.com/collections/frontpage/products/little-tangle and an older stamp set from Stampin' Up called "Just Buzzin' By".  Here's a close-up of the bee:
I'm just learning with Copics, so I have a lot of improving to do.  I also think the ink I chose wasn't the best with Copics.  Still cute, though.

It was way more fun than I thought to follow this sketch.  It took so much of the planning out of the whole process and I liked the way it all came together.

The link to the CTS site is here:  http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/  Come join the fun!

  2. Love your bright yellow card base and that sweet little bee. :) So glad you chose us as your first card challenge and hope to see more of you in the future! Thanks for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
Not sure what ink you used but Memento Tuxedo Black is good for Copics in terms of not bleeding too much. However, I find that embossing an image for colouring is the best way to go. That way it doesn't matter what ink you use and it keeps any colour bleed from happening.
