CAS(E) This Sketch #44 - Hello

I've had a full plate lately, and haven't played in the CAS(E) challenge for quite a while.  When I saw the new sketch, the inspiration came back full force and I couldn't wait to try it out.  Usually I'm very challenged (no pun intended) by this style, but when I see others use it, I find it very appealing, so I want to get better at it for myself as well.  Here's sketch #44:
To back up a bit:  I'd seen this and really wanted to try to replicate it, but without buying the die.  (Sorry, Simon Says Stamp.  I'd love to buy the whole store, really.)  So I pulled out my Wild Card Cricut cartridge, and sure enough, there was a "hello" sentiment.  I cut it out, used the negative space as my stencil....and ended up with a hot mess.  (You won't be seeing a picture of that card.  Eww.)

Enter sketch #44.  The "hello" I'd cut and set aside was adorable....but what to do with it?  Thanks, sketch #44.  You really helped me out.
I used foam tape to give dimension to the word, and colored over the top with a clear gelly roll glitter pen.  The flower stamp is from a Hampton Arts set called "Make a Great Pair" and the ink is Stampin' Up Going Gray.  (Terrible name for an ink, by the way..didn't they change it?  Sure hope so.)

A bit of Copic coloring and some pearls finished things off.

This was really fun to make.  Once again, proof positive that CAS has grown on me.

Thanks for stopping by!
