This weekend's fundraiser for Global Partners is such an exciting event. 3 days of hayrides, Christmas tree sales, bake sales, and international and local crafts make for a lot of family fun! It is amazing to see so many people coming together, some in small ways, others in larger ones, for a great cause. Remember these faces:
And this cutie:
So here's some of what I thankfully and gladly contributed.
Carrot cake and chocolate chip cookie cake balls. Here's another reason it's so fun to take part in all this - all the fun of baking, none of the calories of eating. :)
Brownie cake ball. Chocolatey goodness.
Packaging and labeling them took longer than making them, I believe.
I have icing and cake coming out of my ears. :) In the end, there were 120 cake balls lined up in 4 boxes, waiting to go to the fair. And be purchased for $1. And then eaten.
It's the best use of sugar I can think of.
What do you do to give during the Christmas season?
